This time of year is typically high season for the apple orchards in and around South Haven and Saugatuck. But this year it is definitely a challege for visitors and locals alike who are heading out to our local Michigan farmers for apple picking. A frost earlier this year "nipped it in the bud" so to speak and some orchards had only 3% of their usual abundant crop. But of course our apple balsamics, both white and dark, are available year round.
